Unlock The Big Idea: Creativity and Collaboration

The best ideas rarely belong to just one person.

Sunday 29 November 3:30pm – 5:30pm with Osama Farooqui The Hood by Mamahood ↗ 200 AED · 370 AED any two · 660 AED all four

Ever felt creatively stuck, or watched a brainstorm stall because nobody was really building on anyone else’s ideas? At work or in everyday life, collaboration can quickly get muddled and frustrating.

Improv is collaboration in its purest form. Every scene starts with nothing, and the only way forward is to accept what your partner offers and add to it. That simple habit of “yes, and” turns half-formed thoughts into big ideas, and shows that the best ones rarely belong to just one person.

In this workshop, you’ll

  • Switch off your inner editor and let ideas flow
  • Build on other people’s ideas instead of competing with them
  • Share control, and know when to lead and when to follow
  • Champion the ideas that matter and bring others with you

Expect unexpected laughter, creative breakthroughs and a room full of people building something together.

Osama Farooqui

Osama has been all in on improv since day one, and 10 years later he’s still one of the most enthusiastic and energetic performers in Dubai’s improv community. Every week you’ll find him performing in improv shows across the city, including as a regular cast member of the popular Karak After Dark improv nights. He also creates original formats with fellow performers and regularly shares the stage with Salman. Along the way, he has trained with some of the most influential improv minds in the world, including Shawn Kinley, Jacob Banigan, Felipe Ortiz and Tim Orr. He’s a big supporter of fellow artists across Dubai’s theatre and comedy scene.

Off stage, Osama is an executive coach and learning and development professional with over a decade of international experience, specialising in executive presence, negotiation and organisational change. As a professional role-play actor, he designs and delivers realistic leadership simulations for organisations.

Osama first trained under Salman when he began his improv journey. Today he teaches corporate and public workshops alongside him with The Other Room, bringing big energy, generosity and a real love of helping other people shine.
