Improv depends on exactly that. Every scene is built by noticing what your partner offers and building on it together. And the funniest moments rarely come from trying to be funny. They come from paying attention to what’s real.

Salman Qureshi
For the last 15 years, Salman Qureshi has lived in two worlds. On stage, as a stand-up comedian, improviser and actor, he’s learned what it takes to walk out with nothing planned and connect with a room full of strangers. In the training room, as a lead corporate facilitator, he’s spent just as long helping people find their confidence and connect with each other at work.
Both worlds taught him the same thing: it’s never about having the perfect line. It’s about reading the room, listening closely and meeting people exactly where they are. That’s what makes his sessions so easy to step into, whether it’s your first time or your hundredth.
Today, Salman is co-founder and Lead Facilitator of The Other Room. He brings warmth, humility and quiet confidence to every session, along with a knack for finding the fun in the real moments between people. If you’re new to improv, you’re in safe hands. - No one gets put on the spot. Everything is done in pairs and groups, at your own pace.
- Come to one, two or all four. Each workshop stands on its own, and they work beautifully together.
